Baltimore Country Club is a conservative social Club, steeped in customs and traditions.


All guests are asked to defer to this culture in both behavior and attire when visiting the Five Farms and Roland Park facilities. Prior to coming to our Club, we encourage you to review our policies and traditions, as we want to ensure that you enjoy your stay with us. We look forward to your visit.

From points South:

Take I-95 North to I-695 West (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. Exit at Falls Road - Exit 23B. At third traffic light, turn right onto Seminary Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Mays Chapel Road. Go 1.1 miles. The Five Farms Clubhouse will be on your left.

From points North:

Take I-95 South to I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. Exit at Falls Road - Exit 23B. At third traffic light, turn right onto Seminary Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Mays Chapel Road. Go 1.1 miles. The Five Farms Clubhouse will be on your left.

From downtown Baltimore:

Take I-83 North. Stay left at I-695 exits and continue toward Falls Road. At third traffic light, turn right onto Seminary Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Mays Chapel Road. Go 1.1 miles. The Five Farms Clubhouse will be on your left.

From points South:

Take I-95 North to I-695 West (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. From I-695, take I-83 South--Exit 23A. Go 3 miles along Southbound I-83 to Exit 10A (Northern Parkway). Turn left at the end of the ramp. At second traffic light, turn right onto Roland Avenue. Proceed .9 mile, then turn Right onto Club Road. The Roland Park Clubhouse is on the left, just after a STOP sign.

From points North:

Dress Code

Baltimore Country Club observes a conservative dress code and the members’ attire at all times should be modest and traditional.


Country Club Casual

Acceptable at all times in both Clubhouses except for the Baltimore Country Club holiday season at Roland Park which begins the Monday after Thanksgiving through December 31. During this time, semiformal dress is required in the main dining rooms, excluding the 1898 Grille. Gentlemen’s and boy’s shirts must be tucked in at all times without exception. Baseball and golf hats may not be worn inside or on the porches; when worn outside, the bill must always be facing forward. This dress code will apply unless otherwise noted for a special or private event.

Gentlemen: Tucked in collared shirts, slacks, and closed-toe shoes are required. (Conservative length shorts are acceptable at Five Farms only.) Jackets and ties are optional.
Ladies: Dresses, blouses, dress tops, collarless dress shirts, collared shirts, sweaters, skirts, dress slacks, and dress shorts. All dresses, rompers, skirts, and shorts must reach a minimum of mid-thigh in length. Dresses, rompers, and tops must be modest with no plunging neckline. 
Acceptable: Dress sandals, open-toed shoes, dress hats, colored dress denim–except for blue–that has a finished hem and without rips, frays, or tears is now permitted. Dress conforming to the Club's Golf dress policy. Dress conforming to the Club’s Golf and Tennis Dress policies are permitted in the Tap Room and on the Tap Porch, on the Tilly Porch, and on the Patio at Five Farms. Squash and Paddle Tennis attire are permitted on the Grille Porch and in the Maryland Room at Roland Park. 



Semi-Formal/Holiday Attire

Gentlemen (Over 8 years of age): Jacket and tie required. Shirts must remain tucked in at all times.
Ladies: Dresses, skirts, rompers, pants, jacket suits, tops, and sweaters. Dresses, skirts, and rompers must reach a minimum of mid-thigh in length. All dresses, tops, and sweaters must be modest with no plunging neckline. 
 



Golf

Gentlemen: Pants, conservative-length shorts, tucked in collared shirts, and foul weather suits. 
Ladies: Pants, pull on pant with back pockets, skirts, skorts, shorts, and dresses must reach a minimum of mid-thigh in length. Sleeved or sleeveless collared or performance crew neck shirts. Collared racerback or tapered back tops are now permitted provided they have collars and undergarments do not show.
 



Fitness

Appropriate shorts, shirts, workout clothing, and athletic shoes
 


Paddle

Paddle attire may be worn in the Paddle Tennis areas, on the Grille Porch, and in the Maryland Room only. Paddle Tennis players must adhere to the Club’s posted dress code when entering or using the Club’s other facilities. Paddle Tennis players dressed in Paddle attire must use the athletic entrance only. 
 



Squash

Attire must be predominately (at least 85%) white. White gym shorts, lacrosse shorts, and collared or performance crew neck shirts. Some colored trim or logos on all white attire is acceptable. Non-marking or gum rubber-soled shoes. Squash players must adhere to the Club’s posted dress code when entering the Clubhouse or using the Club’s other facilities. Squash attire may be worn in the Squash areas, on the Grille Porch, and in the Maryland Room only. Squash players dressed in Squash attire must use the athletic entrance only.
 



Tennis & Pickleball

Gentlemen: Tennis whites required. Must be predominately (at least 85%) white. Some colored trim is acceptable. Collared shirts, performance crew neck shirt, and flat-soled tennis shoes are required. Appropriate non-white jackets and pullovers are acceptable for warming up.
Ladies: Tennis whites required. Must be predominately (at least 85%) white. Some colored trim is acceptable. Sleeved or sleeveless collared or crew neck shirts. Racerback or tapered back tops are permitted provided undergarments do not show. Flat-soled tennis shoes are required. Tennis skirts, skorts, shorts, and dresses must reach a minimum of mid-thigh in length. Appropriate non-white jackets and pullovers are acceptable for warming up.

Tennis Facility
Clothing at the tennis facility includes tennis whites, pool attire (with a shirt or cover up), fitness attire, shorts, shirt, workout clothing, athletic shoes, and flipflops.

Tennis Whites at the Clubhouse
Tennis whites may be worn to the Five Farms Clubhouse. All tennis players must remove Har-Tru material from shoes prior to entering the building.

Access for Five Farms
Blue denim and athletic shoes are only permitted when directly entering and exiting the locker rooms located in the main Clubhouse and Tennis and Fitness facilities. 
 



Pool

Swimsuits with proper body coverage are required. Shoes, sandals or flip flops must be worn when walking outside of the Pool Complex and in the parking lot. All caps must be worn with the bill facing forward. A shirt or coverup is required for dining on the patio or inside the screened porch
Not Acceptable: Bathing suits worn outside of the Pool Complex area. Brazil/French-cut, thong style and/or revealing swimwear, cut-offs, gym shorts, blue denim apparel of any kind (including jeans, dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets), overalls, cargo-style pants, athletic gear with team logos or numeric jerseys (except for children’s school and club team uniforms), camouflage patterns, apparel decorated with multiple letters, characters or symbols. Men are not permitted to wear sleeveless shirts.

Electronic Device Policy

Electronic Device Policy

Electronic Device Definition: Any mobile phone, smart phone, smart watch, iPad, Kindle, tablet, laptop, gaming device, and any other portable electronic device.

Electronic devices are prohibited for all purposes, except for showing or taking photographs, in all buildings, sport facilities and grounds, golf courses, including the Adirondack area, except for the following:

  • Five Farms Card Room – No mobile phone/watch voice usage
  • Golf Course – For practice or playing purposes only
  • Pool Complex Inside the fenced area – No mobile phone/watch voice usage
  • Fitness Centers – No mobile phone/watch voice usage
  • Private rooms being used for a meeting – both campuses
  • Locker Rooms – both campuses
  • Inside personal vehicles – both campuses
  • Squash viewing area, Tennis Porch, & Paddle Hut - texting is now premitted

All electronic devices are to be kept out of sight, unless in designated areas. For your convenience, courtesy phones are located throughout the Club on both campuses and the Pool Complex.

A guest in violation of this policy will be asked to comply without delay or leave Club grounds.
